Health 101: H2O

We all know how important water is for our body. Recommendations of drinking 8-10 glasses of water daily are some to take into account, seriously. Water has infinite benefits for our overall health and beauty.

For all of you wanting to lose pounds or maintain a healthy weight for these next summer days, water is a powerful weapon. It stimulates an optimal metabolism and regulates the level of appetite, reducing hunger cravings. Water also increases energy levels, improving our daily routine, and even helping find workout motivation! It also helps eliminate toxins and waste, which can often cause fatigue if not flushed away.

Besides those great reasons, bones are made up of 50% of water, which means that by drinking more water, our bones and articulations will grow stronger. Also, water is the brain's fuel, and in order for it to work properly, it needs the right amount of H2O to keep functioning at its best. 

Still need another reason? Water is a great tool to achieve a flawless skin. There's no need to spend all that money on skin products, facials, and creams, when you can drink enough water and probably get the same results. Water gives the skin a glossy, healthy look by keeping it hydrated and free of waste and bacteria. 

We probably knew all of this, and will still choose an iced latte, sangria or cold beer over a healthy glass of water. But try to keep this in mind when asking for a beverage. Or add a little spark of flavor by drinking Lemon Water... it has the same benefits and is a little less boring!
